Journey’s End Animal Sanctuary

Journey’s End Animal Sanctuary Raided. Animals Removed from horrible conditions

“Pursuant to the search warrant served at the Journey’s End Animal Sanctuary in DeLand on Jan. 15, 2020, Volusia County Animal Services removed 16 animals (nine cats and seven dogs) from the facility. Following their removal, Animal Services transported these animals to several veterinary clinics for immediate care. At this time, the animals will undergo extensive diagnostic and rehabilitative treatment. These steps are necessary to ensure the health and welfare of animals identified during multiple independent inspections as receiving inadequate care.

The county is dedicated to ensuring the welfare of both the animals in its care as well as the remaining animals at Journey’s End. The public records responsive to Journey’s End are available as links below.”
